multiplayer steam question

Is it possible to use one steam account to play multiplayer on a lan.

I mean that if I logged into steam on one computer, unplugged the internet/lan cable, then logged into steam on my other computer (still connected to the internet) and unplugged the internet cable going into the router (disconnecting the entire lan from the internet) and plugged the cable back into the first computer (back on the lan).

Would I have two computers in offline mode or would I just be up a creek without a paddle?

Yeah, that's possible, but it still checks for SteamIDs on LAN games (I think).

playing a lan game with the same steam account at the same time isnt a problem even if the net is connected. ive done it many times, but you cant use both computers for online at the same time.
