multiple OS choices on bootup

a few days, as explained in my other post, i tried swapping my friends hdd into my computer to attempt a windows installation
it installed with a few errors and eventually we scrapped the idea completely(solved later)
now, with the hard drive removed, my computer asks me to choose from two operating systems(both xp pro) whenever i bootup...... even though the second HD is gone..
how do i remove the one i dont need?

It will not remove any files BUT

To get rid of it asking you for the OS you have to go to:

Right click on my computer --> properties

Go to advanced --> settings

Then click edit and uncheck "time to display list of operating systems.

I think thats it (I forget, the last time I did it was a long time ago)!

if you goto where dr devin said and click the edit button you can remove teh second option
