Multiple save profiles?

Long story short, I bought HL2 the other day and I was wondering what the best solution is for someone who has other people playing the game as well and doesn't want saved games getting mixed, overwritten etc etc?

Currently on this computer I have one user account. I have just been letting this other person use my account to access HL2. If I were to create his own user account and then installed HL2 to a different folder from the one I am currently using (and then simply transfered his saved games), would that work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :dozey:

Steam only uses one folder, so it wouldn't work.

Hmm, true. And I'm guessing I cannot tell Steam where to install?

You can only set where steam itself installs, after that, games locations are set within that location automatically
