Music copyright?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that music is from the original Half-Life.

Track 43 "lambda core" on hl2 cd, 1:44 time frame

the same music plays in background at about 1:12 to 3:07 in the video, the drumb beats, the guitar, high-hat, mostly everything. there are some overlays like snares and some techno syncpad effects on the lead in, and some voice overness /duplication in the center, but the beat is still there loud and true. It goes quiet for a while then starts back up with the voiceover'ed par.

The voice over starts at 1:52, and later on somewhere. it apparently has three versus.

sounds like: (but it is totally by ear and definately wrong)
"oot deet, doulbeu doulbleu, ,redblack dance, super conductor, bak drum, bak drop"

waht do you guys hear it as?

It's not an official trailer.

If I'm correct, that's HL1 song 17, as extracted from the HL2 GCF's.

Well, if its not offical and done by a group of affecionados... I think its covered by the creativity statute.

Wow, have you never seen a game music video? They use copy righted music all the time.

Stalker seems like a game thats too good to be true. A completely unscripted game? Things that seem too good to be true usually are. (For example the E32003 video of blocking the doors, try doing it in HL2 and the door just slides everything back.)

2nd Time: Blue Flag Taken, Doublesomething, Doublesomething, Flag Taken, Flag Dropped

IIRC, that exact spot never made it into the game anyway. It was proof of concept stuff. The AI was unfinished at that point, and we all know that the game wasn't even close to being finished.

In Ravenholm, if you block a door in a certain spot the zombies come crashing through a window in the ceiling...the door doesn't fly open, it's not "scripted" so much as AI hints. The doors don't fly open in HL2. I've heard people say they did in the leak which wasn't meant to be played anyway, but that's NOT the final game.
