Whats your music type that you love right now? also name some specific songs so I can give them a go!

heres mine:

Slipknot - Mostly for the lyrics but some of their songs are great!
Sublime - I don't kno anyone who doesnt love them!
Nine Inch Nails - Trent Reznor lyrics are the best, plus Industrial Techno!
A Perfect Circle - Saw them about a month ago, great live!
Tool - Very unique band, If you havent heard of them, DOWNLOAD NOW!
All Out War - I love good death metal bass, This bass player plays great graveyard style bass (similar to Six Feet Under)
Drowning Pool - Mostly the 1st album, Newest album is creepy because their original lead singer died of a heroine over does, but they replaced him with a guy that sounds ALMOST the same...
Fear Factory - Only Digimortal album and the 1 after it....
Ill Nino - Very Underratted
Korn - I love unique bands, no matter how over played
Rage Against The Machine - I dont really get too political with these guys (Like my friends do) but they have great songs, ALL OF THEM!

Metallica - I went to a concert of thiers on Tuesday... it was unbelievably awesome... so good...

Disturbed - I listen to them quite a lot... the entirety of 'The Sickness' CD is great.

Korn - Their newest CD, 'Take A Look in the Mirror', is one of my favorites.

Audioslave - Old and new sounding at the same time... pretty cool...

My music right now is classic rock and blues/jazz. I play guitar and keyboards in a few bands and do an occasional paying gig. All I got to say is SKYNYRD!!!

If you're a musician who wants to improve skills, I recommend getting into jazz. It will give you more mad skills than you can handle. Rock on.

Corporate Avenger-a mix of rap/punk/metal=pretty good
Alien sex fiend- eh very good, it takes awhile to grow on you because they purposely make it offbeat with a 80s vibe.
Pink floyd-Old but great band.

My Chemical Romance - love their 1st cd, can't wait for 2nd

The Blank Theory - love the cd, can't wait for more
Beloved, Glassjaw, Unloco - each have 2 good cds
Trapt, Three Days Grace, Smile Empty Soul, Stage - great cds, awesome live

Erase the Grey - best. ep. ever. RIP :/
Moments in Grace - amazing ep, can't wait for cd

I know I'm forgetting a lot, and I didn't include all the popular ones like Staind, Korn, System of a Down, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Evanescence, etc etc etc... those are givens.

Postal Service - District Sleeps Alone Tonight and Such Great Heights are cool songs.

get started on those first I dont like generic rock as much as other people do. I think these songs have more depth to them. I would recommend to immediatly download "The General" by Dispatch, you'll thank me later

Manowar It's Manowar! Nuff said.
Iron Maiden The all time greats of metal. Awesome.
Metallica Back in their day they were great. Not so great now. Master of Puppets.
Hammerfall Great Power Metal tracks. Fun to shout along too
Joan Jett I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL!
Ozzy Osbourne Ozzy is just fantastic, Solo and during the Black Sabath years.
Queen Time for a little Bohemian Rapsidy, gentlemen? Good call.
Extreme Some seriosuly awesome solos to be had with these guys.
Faith No More Love the style of music and the lyrics. The Perfect Crime is brill.
Sinergy Metal with punch. These guys (and gal) can seriously play.
Helloween Classic metal, great tracks and lyrics.
Judas Priest Gods of solos.
Guns 'n Roses ...it's Roses. No more to say. Rawk on.
Alice Cooper Alice Cooper I've listened to and worshiped for eons. Love his voice and all round style.
Aerosmith Awesome to listen to, so much in one track.
KoRn They can get any sound they want from a Guitar. Some amazing tracks and Albums.
Tool Man I love Tool. Amazing style, brillaint Albums. Some seriously atmospheric tracks. Pure greatness.
Soil Fast, powerfull and hard hitting. Great band. Halo, awesome track. Recommend to all.
The Union Underground Turn me on Mr. Deadman. Great name, great track. Great band.
At The Drive In Nice alternative tracks, like these guy a lot.
Rage Against The Machine One of the all time greats.
The Darkness Heh. Finally! A bloody good rock band to come out of Britain at long last! Some hate, some love. I love. Those who hate have no taste.

Korn - I saw these guys live in Melbourne...man they're supersic (got all their albums, but I can't find 'Take a look in the mirror')
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Love the Peppers...Blood Sugar is the highlight imo
Guns N' Roses (and no doubt Velvet Revolver when singer gets out of jail) - 'nuff said (see sig and avatar)...Slash is a gun and really makes those Gibsons sing
Led Zeppelin - Jimmy Page is an amazingly skilled man
Jimi Hendrix - My current 'project' is to get all his cd's
Metallica - \m/ James + Kirk = creamed pants \m/
Thrice - Just heard them recently and I really like them
Muse - Different compared to what I normally listen to, but I thoroughly enjoy them
Sunk Loto - Australian band, but I love their new album
