I think they should create a completely new soundtrack for aftermath without reusing any of the music from previous games. Also they should make the music.. and I don't mean ambient music.. fit the the situation/atmosphere more like it did in HL1.

Hmmm... does this mean that you didn't like the HL2 music, or at least how it was applied? I personally thought that the Half-Life 2 music was far better than that in Half-Life 1... I also thought that the more techno-style edge to it fitted the Combine well. So long as it's mostly original stuff (soundtrack repetition would seem a bit skanky for a full blown commerical expansion), I'd be very happy with more stuff in the style of Half-Life 2.

Yeah, music can add much to a game, so they should focus on that a bit more... You really can't be thrilled with the generic 'clipart' muzak from HL2...

I liked HL2 music but there was to many musics* that sounded very similar throughout the game. Song16, Song15, song31, HL1 Song25 remix, and son23 suitsong3 were all great. But mot of the combine action music was the same thing over and over again.

Kupoartist, a lot of the music in Half-Life was re-used in Half-Life 2 though :p

Personally, as long as it's done by Kelly Bailey, I don't think they can go wrong.

Word...

Port over of the tracks from HL1 that got missed out, and add some new music. That would suit me fine.

does anyone know where you can find the soundtrack of Half Life 2? Does it only come with the game or can you buy it seperatly?

downlaod gcfscape, and then go into your halflfie2 gcfs, in your steam apps folder.....

brose around in there then when u find the music just simply extract them and voila!

I agree. I have a few Quake 2 EP CD's that I like listening to. :)

They did new music for Op4. They'll do new music for aftermath.

Thanks Samon ^_^. Meh, I think Music is pretty important in a game. And Sulkdodds, what you are forgetting is that gearbox made Op4...
