.. It's often said that smells, sounds, sights can all evoke a memory of days gone by without any warning whatsoever. Are there any songs you guy's listen to, that when you hear them you're reminded of something memorable?

Heres a few for Me:

'Pretty Fly For a White Guy' - Offispring: The first summer my best mate got his car, and me and him spent all summer driving around, with the windows open, getting upto mischief.

'On a day like today' - Bryan Adams: One of the first songs I could play all the chords to on my very first acoustic guitar.

'D'You Wanna Be A Spaceman' - Oasis: The song I was listening to, when my uncle knocked on the door of my house and told me my Grandad had just passed away.

.. yours?

well, every song right now for me makes me think its just not good enough, after hearing they might be giants live for the first tim eon sunday. that aside, there aren't really any events specifically I can think of that songs remind me of, maybe I just don't remember. however, certain scenes do consistently pop up.

the obvious of such to my is Cân Megan by Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, I feel very relaxed, and always imagine a calm park scene whenever I hear it.

wow, thats really creepy :|

I suspect this is plotted! its a work against you, sparrow!

The Sweater Song - Weezer

My friend on the drum pads...me on the unplugd electric guitar.....my friend and I learned the song and played it a bunch when he was living with his grandma at leasure world.

Faaip De Oiad - Tool
(Voice Of God)
This song has just been making my thoughts go crazy lately. Its actually not so much a song...as it is a recording from a radio show where some guy saying he worked at Area 51 calls in. Is an extremely creepy song and I've been listening to it alot because I want to kind of use it in a mod I'm going to do.
I just listen to it with my eyes closed picturing my game. And all its scaryness.

Vanishing - A Perfect Circle

For some reason it reminds me of when I went to the El Toro air base to take pictures. The place just had a very odd atmosphere. The song comes to mind when I look at all the pictures too.

Money - Pink Floyd

It reminds me of when my cousin got his 77 (or some year) El Camino, fuzzy dice leather steering wheel, he picked it up for $750 and it had like a $3000 engine in it, that thing kicked ass, we went around doing 100 on the country roads blasting Floyd and Zeppelin outa the speakers.

ya music brings back memories:

like that time I was listening to "Stuck in the middle with you" while carving up a police officer's ear, good times :smoking:

Everquest Music- Playing everquest....my life sucks.

Genious, there is always time for a Resevoir Dogs refference.

That's something I can't just think of... I'd actually have to be listening to something and have a memory come up... :P

Incubus-The Warmth- I heard it the first time with a friend of mine on our way up to his cottage. Everysingle time I hear it I get flashbacks of what we had done there.

Popsi popsi porkkanaa hampaitaa....

A very annoying song played at assembly 04'. It will forever be linked to the event.

Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town

Cruising home after a lush party with someone passed out in the back seat, and my mate sober, me tipsy.. just chilling to the song :)

I have more but I forget :E

Maxi, were you at the last year's Assembly event? (2003) Some people were constantly playing some song that went "OMENA!! Olen omena! Olen OMEEENA!!" or some shit like that. Goddamn, it couldn't get more annoying that hearing to that 24h for four days.

Many songs remind me of certain people, most of the time because we just both like that song. Idunno, I feel those things sometimes but I guess it wouldn't be too noticeable as I've got a habit of breaking out the air drums whenever I listen to something good :D

lets see...

Feva for the Flava = Racing in NFS...
Wipeout/Another one Bites the Dust = playing UT2k3 on CBP Ellegence. Custom playlist for that map. those songs were...fitting
Filter-Take my Picture - A long drive home from a vacation
numerous songs I swiped from my cousins hard drive remind me of the two weeks I spent there...
Hero, and We arn't gunna take it = JK2 music

thousands of other songs, millions of other memorys.
