Yeah, very sensible. Let's use a game support forum as a yardstick to measure how well a game works.

HL2 has sold several million copies. Do you see several million threads in here complaining that it doesn't work?

The vast majority of people don't have any issues at all. They just don't post about it. Maybe we should make a "not having any problems at all" forum section...

Half-Life 2? Half-Life 2: Episode 1? Opposing Force? Half-Life: Source? Counter-Strike?

This section of the forums is for ALL Valve games.

I've had no problems at all with hl2 or ep1. I did have some with the earlier ones, but that was a long time ago.

Just to counterweigh a little all those problems others have had.

its been know to have its bugs but they've usually been fixed with updates... whether they've been for the game through steam, drivers for your graphics cards, or directX updates ( the most common "problems" ) it comes down to this: either your rigs is incapable of running it or its a pirated version... these are the only 2 problems people really have... if your rig is incapable, we can suggest upgrades... if its a pirated version... we can suggest you go f**k your self!

Im to damn poor to afford an alien ware pc... besides, I haven't done the math or anything, but supposedly an alienware PC is more expensive then a custom PC with all the same specs... ok so some people have had other problems with the games out side of there own rig, there is usually an explanation for it and it is resolved more often then not... if your haveing a problem why dont you post the problem so as that we can help you fix it opposed to haveing to listen to you complain about it... then you can play the game.. P.S.: what game is it any way?
