MX-1000 Driver help

I was wondering, is there any way I could utilise all the buttons on my MX-1000 without having to install setpoint? Setpoint is a HUGE resource hog, but I still want to be able to use the task switch button on my mouse.

Any ideas?

Hmm you could look for some slimmed down versions of the apps that someone may have developed, but i'm not too sure really.

Just a quick reply here. I too have discovered that Setpoint from Logitech causes a HUGE frame rate reduction in Half Life 2.

I play mainly DoD Source, sometimes CS Source, and my frame rate drops from a steady 50-60 to 19-40 (lower end of this on average) with stuttering and making the game unplayable.

As soon as I remove Setpoint from the system tray WALLA 50-60 fps !

Pentium D 930 dual core 3ghz, 1gb DDR2 ram, ATI 1900xtx - and I must say it rocks.. I play with Anistropic Filtering, Anti-Aliasing, Mip mapping, etc all at the HL2's recommended settings for my system.
