Yeah pixel art is one of the most popular forms of digital art out there today (god knows why)
but anyways, he made it in paint...give em a break.

Hey tim, dont get upset. I mean, yeah its abit messed up with the perspective, but oh well, it aint the end of the world. And what they mean by perspective is wrong is that it looks kinda streched out along the X axis and therefore makes everything kinda, well.... ill stop there.
Good job anyways, cheers ;)

haha, I wasn't getting upset. I just wanted them to be more clear on their crits. Also, by x-axis.. everything is relative. Do you mean horizontally is x-axis or what? Which is depth for you, z-axis? And y-axis is vertical? I just want to make sure I can figure out how to fix the problem next time I try something like this. Thanks!

I recomment looking at some of the really advanced been-doin'-this-for-years kind of pixel artists, thats how I'm learning to shade.

DUDE THAT PICTURE pwnz0rz!!! well i mean for paint that is

I dont see the whole "perspective is off" bit... seems pretty good to me. nice work tim. :p

The perspective is not correct, but no huge deal.

When you draw a perfect cube in perspective, the edges that are farther away from you get smaller and smaller. Even though all the edges would measure the same length, the more distant ones "seem" smaller.

Here's a guide on 2 point perspective to give people an idea of perspective. http://drawsketch.about.com/library/weekly/aa021603c.htm Your drawing though uses one point.

Ahhh, so that's what you guys meant... The other guys didn't really explain what they meant very well, so I thought they meant certain things didn't match up with the same "perspective" (as in the point the viewer is looking at it from), not perspective as in things farther away get smaller. Thanks!

It took me about 45 mins to do that. ty for the comment.

I'm using his 1024x768 cover with the giant plane in it.

What resolution are you running at?

edit: aw, the aircraft carrier is like 3 different pictures :(

the same
apparently japanese aircraft carriers are quite a bit different from their american counterparts (Park with welcome sign), I wish he hadnt put his sig right in the middle of the ship, and i wish he hadnt put the crashed plane there.
