my computer shut down after a while

When I play half-life 2 or other mods of this game, my computer always shut down after like 5-10 min. Does anyone knows how to fix this? I have a 2.4 ghz processor with a Nvidia geforce mx 5700 graphic card

I bet its a heat problem. dudt off the guts of ur computer and paly with its case open if the computer doesnt shut down after 5-10mins its a heat problem

Yeah.. with that kind of processor... Anyway, maybe ur PC is unstable.

My brother had this problem and I thought it was heat until we noticed that it happened at the SAME SPOT in the game everytime.

I saw a few people that said they had the same problem also said that moving their sound card closer to the AGP slot fixed the problem. THIS SOLVED HIS "computer rebooting" PROBLEM!! Try it, its worth a shot, and its also one of the easier fixes to attempt.

i just want to add, my comp is a 2.6 ghz and not a 2.4......so im always looking for a solution....
