our family dog who is 9 years old just got back from the hospital after having a biopsy to of her liver and intestines and things.. she came back and was groggy and seemed to stop breathing for awhile and we had to throw her on the ground to reanimate her..my family is downstairs and are whatching her but i'm terrified because i love her so much so i've come up here (i absolutely cant stay down stairs where she is and panic) so i've medicated myself and burrowed up here by my PC..I know going to a forum is kinda sad for advice but inr eality i cant really talk to anyone in person normally right now because im in such a panic state (I have a panic disorder) im so worried about her it isin't even funny.. right now the dog is asleep under the table being whatched by my brother.. and i am upstairs. I dont care what you post even if you flame me.. just say something

Sorry to hear that, dude, I hope your dog pulls through.

I think you should go down there, though...

my panic disrupts things.. makes people more uncomfortable.. and most of all I feel like im not in control. So staying up here keeps me stable for now.. kinda.. of course i'l end up going down and checking on her soon.

I don't know anything about your condition, but I do know that no one will be uncomfortable unless they suck, cuz it has been your dog for 9 years...

it's a panic disorder.. so in other words I panic and cant controll my fear and worry.. I run around thinking nothing is ok and that things rae going wrong. Right now I just need to controll it.

Well don't worry...I think she will be ok. :)

Sorry to here that, hopefully she will be fine. :)

My cat died, i was happy
Maybe if it dies you'll be happy?

And look on the bright side
If it does die, you can eat it

My Aunts dog had some pretty serious heart trouble three years ago. And she's doing great now, back to her normal self. So don't worry :)

:-) hopin for the best, she is acting a little strange but my brother and mom are sleeping right next to her beacuse they dont have panic like I do. i'm just gonna pray for the best, I think/hope she's going to be ok. i'l keep ya'll informed... wish I coudl stop this panic.

You can always transfuse it with cat-blood... should be able to add a couple lives that way. Or you can do the whole package, and transplant the organs as well!

I'm just kidding...

I hope your dog gets better!

my dog has kidney problems. she has to have blood transfusions now and then.

i hope your dog gets better.

hey babyheadcrab, ive never had a dog, but my mate had one for 15 years and when it died he was pretty cut up, but you gotta be strong, and it the worst does happen, at least you have your family there to support you and all :)

and ignore the dick heads.

Sorry to hear that you've still got the panic thing going on bhc :(

I'm sure your dog will be fine though, always hope for the best :)

Don't worry... seriously dogs can really scare the hell out of us sometimes, but i'm pretty sure she will be okay.

I lost one of my dogs 3 or 4 years ago. I was so sad :(
But hopefully your dog will be ok :)
I have a new dog now, and i love him to pieces. Good luck to your dog.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. They are very beloved family members and things like this aren't easy to handle.

Your story almost sounds like my memorial day. My 12 year old dog had what appeared to be a stroke. After going to the vet we had to put her down. Worst day of the year for me. It's hard to lose something you've been so close to for 12 years.

thanks for the support as always guys... posting from school so I have no idea how she is.. im starting to panic but im sure my mom would have called the office if somethings serious happaned.. I think. anyways thanks for all the comments and support. just gotta get through this.\

you guys really do make me feel better when I read the posts :)

Sorry...

Glad to hear it, BHC. :) Keep us updated, eh?

Hope the best for your dog, it'll pull through.
But if it doesn't, just remember that death is natural, and it has to happen sometime.

I don't want to die =[ sure things are bad in this world...war...deaths.. but at the end of it i dont wanna die...id only wanna die if all my family was gone..

I don't fear death, as long as its not painful or terrible, and I'm not leaving people behind who will be torn apart by it.

If your dog made it through the operation okay then he/she is already through the most dangerous part, right? So I reckon thy faithful friend will be okay  steady as she goes. My dog is about 12-13 and I'm hoping for another 10 years out of him

As for your panic problem - I've fallen victim to the odd panicattack in my time, andit always seems to be aggravated by the presence of other people. Maybe you could nab a minute or 2 with your dog when noone's around, pet him, take a few deep breaths, get a nice calm handle on the situation and realise that it's a lot more comfy beside your dog than beside your pc.

The dog should be fine, don't worry too much about it :)

I think she's ok, she seems to be a bit more active now that I got home from school. I'l keep you guys updated :)
