No, I think UT2004 is a UT2003 clone with Halo vehicles. :p

ut2004 uh...

i have and played ut2003, if ut2004 is anything like 03 but with vehicles then it is not worth my time.

It has no real plot,
Its modding capabilities are lame (i waited forever for good mods to come out for that game and none have)
gets old fast
 
its making fun of doom3 and its the smallest, then hl2 is mediumish, then ut2k4 is the biggest = doom3<hl2<ut2k4

To me, UT2003 plays like I'm using a cordless keyboard & mouse covered in milkshake and the receiver is located 20 miles away.

To me, Unreal was the game that started it all, Unreal Tournament was a fluke-Epic didn't know it wa gonna be that great.
UT2003, Epic got to confident and had UT2003 become eye candy.
Unreal 2--Legend will never go near Epic again!
UT2004...:D!
 
I think UT2004 looks like a good game but I really doubt it will be better then Half-Life 2. Hey, I even think Doom 3 is probably better then UT2004.
 
Awww, I was all ready to post up a massive editorial about the correct usage of logic symbols in message boards!

Anyways, I remember that comic in it's first incarnation when it was just D3 and HL2.
Ohh, and UT2004's shades look like a last minute addon, very unfinished compared to the rest of the image.
 
hl2 will own ut2004

wow, it has vehicles but no main game with a real story...hl2 has better physics, a story, a main game, and a HUGE community which will own CTF and DM for ut2004

BF=Standing around flags, drving vehicles and mindless- killing.
UT2k4=CTF, DM(mindless-killing, but does it better than BF;))
Football with guns, ONSLAUGHT!, assault, vehicles, even more content.
 
mindless killing gets boring after so long, i could play CS all day but not DM. its a very tough balance between boredom and too much
 
UT2k4 wont sell shit, and i hope it burns to the ground.

I can bet money UT2k4 wont even sell 500,000 the first 6 months, Its not for the casual gamer, Like HL2 and Doom 3 will be, Everyone knows Doom, and alot of CS azn pride clans(dont ask) know HL2.
 
Eh, never really liked UT2003. The novelty wore off after the first month or so. It just gets too repetitive and boring after awhile. Why get UT2004 (which is basically UT2003 with vehicles) when you can get HL2? I don't know why HL2 is more appealing, maybe it's been hyped more. :cheese: As for Doom3, I never played the original so it should be interesting.
 
yeah UT2k3 got extremly boring after the first few weeks, and if you play the new mods they are shit, the UT engine is the worst game for mods lol, just look at how people run, you could never make a realistic game for UT2kx.
 
I thought that comic was faked.

Cuz I saw the one where it was just Doom 3 and HL2, looks like the UT2k4 one was copied from the HL2 one, changed colors, added an ear, and made it a tad larger.

Actually, I just went to the ExtraLife site and check things out, turns out your picture really is a fake. Good job on finding it wherever you did, but I wonder if the original artist doesn't like the fact that you're posting it without consent.
 
Updated title as per request. I'm not sure if I agree with it though, but I'm sure UT2k4 will be spanking anyway.
 
My assumprions say that ut2004 will flop. The hardcore ut2003 gamers wont change to 2004 so you have no fan CORE only n00bs. And it therefore will fail!
 
Currently, a law forbids letting people get a discount if they already have UT2003, so probably it will be 50 euro/dollar like all games. Worth it? Don't know, doubtfull.

UT rocked, UT2003 lost my interest after 15 minutes, and UT2004 will be UT2003 with extra stuff.

What law might that be? Not flaming, just wondering.

Anyways, i'll prolly be picking up UT2k4. I liked 2003, but thought there wasn't a lot of content. After the bonuspacks and extra d/l's that problem was pretty much solved for me and i think it's a nice game to play online in short bursts.

Also, i have a certain fanboy loyalty to the original UT, being in a clan and all. :cheese:
