I have chosen my Leaving Certificate subjects. I will be doing them for the next 2 years D:
Basicaly, in 2 years I will be tested on them and get a mark out of a 100 for each depending on grade (it is not a percent eg an A1 is 100 marks, a C3 60, a D2 45)
You are then marked out of your best six. I will hopefully be doing English, Irish, Maths, (all 3 a given anyway) French, Technical Drawing, (my favourite subject ^_^) Physics and Chemistry. I also hope to do Applied Maths as an 8th subject outside school. Did anyone here have to pick subjects recently?

science nerd :P
Physics, Chemistry, Tech, Applied Maths, Honour Maths - a future engineer methinks

Your system in England is totally different from ours :O

I don't really know. I'm thinking of engineering but that's pretty much only because I like TD. I'm also thinking of something in physics. I don't honestly know what I want to be.

..Ireland has a weird system...

Gonna be doing Modern History and Politics next (school) year at Uni :D

Crazy Irish! Hmm, sciency. You're going to work with Kirovman in his secret bunker, methinks.

English, Irish and French. You must be quite the cunning linguist.

Just chose my A level options... well, in February and I chose Physics, ICT, Electronics and Geography. Took electronics after my initial Media Studies choice was denied. :(

I'm doing history, maths, physics and chemistry for AS levels this year

Dropping history next year...

Good luck with them! Seems like so long ago since I had to do it...I was doing German, Business, Accounting and Physics. Did you do transition year?

To get into University you need English, Irish and a European language IIRC.
Edit:
An NUI university that is, which most of the good ones are.

Edit 2: I did do transition year, and made about €120 from my mini-company :E
We're also attempting to make a film. It'll probably be less than half an hour. I'll see if I can upload it anywhere when it's done ;)

Have you thought about WHERE you want to go?
Probably UCC. My brother and sister are both there ATM so my mam bought an apartment near there so it'd be free accomidation. It's within walking distance of UCC and I think CIT.

Too bad it costs as much as a house to go to college/university
