My father's a hotrod enthusiast, and from time to time, I helped him along in his project with some of the bodywork.

It's still not finished and it probably won't be for a great while longer once I go into the NAVY. He's had a hard time trying to do things by himself lately, but surely he'll manage once I leave this year. It has a re-built V8 hemi (I think it's a hemi) with chromed Edelbrook cylinder heads. (I should have taken a picture of the engine too. Dammit)

He literally re-built this '36 Plymouth from the ground up and it was recently apprasied at $25,000. This here is his pride and joy (at least one of them anyways):

Nice car. Get me a pic of the motor and I can tell you exactly what it is :).

Will do. ;) Excuse the low-res pictures, I'm still a n00b at photo editing and just created a photobucket account.

I'll try to get some larger pictures of the car itself too when I have the time!

I'll also try to get a shot of the retractable antenna as well. He made a custom retractable antenna with a special nook and flap so it's not exposed when the radio is off. Like some kind of James Bond shit or something! It's awesome! The dash has digital gauges too.

If it has Edelbrock heads it's probably not a hemi. The original factory heads held their own. Maybe a 413 or 426 wedge?

Next time I see him, I'll ask him and get the specs as well as some pictures. I'm not mechanically minded so he'll explain these thinks much better than me.

Your thread title made me think your dad owns a Plymouth that's as long as my house.

LOL  BTW, that's no ordinary air stream camper either. On the inside, it's completely decked out with hotrod and pirate themed paraphenellia. The bedroom is made to look like the captain's quarters of a ship with hand-made railings and such. :)
I spent several nights in there many times before when I went to several concerts and motorcycle shows with my father.

Which reminds me, he went to one this weekend and I couldn't go due to my limited funds this time around. :(

Oh well, I guess I'll just spend my night tonight playing HL2 or something. :)

I never found those cars attractive *shrug*

At least it only takes people skilled in mechanics to keep them up and running, so idiot women can't ruin them by not changing the oil... >: O

TBH, this car is actually quite idiot proof. As long as you keep fluids in it that is.

Now, if you want to talk about a car that's not for people who doesn't know an alternater from an oil pump, look no further than Volkswagen beetles. :|

THAT I will have to agree on. Friend has a Super Beetle...hilarious for people to dry and diagnose his "Lack of power at high RPM" issues...

"You're belts are lose!"

Richard, if I see your SB do that, I'd probably have to raep you. Just FYI.

Man I just have to say that your father has an awesome car. It looks like a ride you could do a mob hit in.
