that looks VERY familiar... Very nice work though.

I'd suggest putting in more cover on the lower level.

Ok it was my first map on hammer but not my first map. I am not working on this map anymore its still very playable but i have only tested the map with 4 players so i dont know how it would turn out with 8 a side.

http://members.iinet.net.au/~hyoung2/Map2.rar - 2MB You will need winrar.

Its all my own work so if your seen it some where else, i am stumped!
Any way has anybody played it yet? Like it or hate it?

I like the look of it, good work. :)

The only thing I think looks a bit odd is the way the trees are placed. Their roots would rip and break through the brick pot like thing they're in.

I concur, middle of the concrete floor would be nice. Like you see in cities with those cut out areas.

Ok i will fix the problem with the trees not that its really a problem but i do understand that it may look out of place, anything else while i am fixing it?

Stick some more trees on the lower section in brick wall 'flower boxes' with benches around the outside or something.

That looks like a very good map. I have tried creating maps many diffrent times but i have always failed.

I have made the requested change of the tree and i have uploaded the map so youcan download it from the same link.

Also I have left 4 hostages in the map i only realised it after i compiled the map so i will redo it without them in the next day or two, or maybe tonight.

i like the update, just try putting some extra brushes on the places that in real life have more geometry, and ... more textures, more variety in the map's color, and uh ... another skybox, some dynamic lights, and some env_ things ?

but its looking great, please keep up the good work

Yes that tree really adds a lot. It serves as a nice addition, breaking up the wide open section visually and providing a bit of cover for anyone trying to traverse it. And it helps with the colour, as Dodo said.

I have added in a flower bed and what do you know the flowesr arnt showing, Now i know you need to have the entity set right but i was wondering if there was a list that labeled what each mesh should be?
