My First Guitar cover!

Awesome, it was dead on.

To be honest I wouldn't have tried the solo either  It's retarded!

Now that's what I call awesome. Good job, man.

nice cover...learn the solo and post the reults.

Although I own both an acoustic and electric I always favor my acoustic. I just love the sound of a perfectly tuned acoustic...here's my latest cover of "ocean" by john butler trio. I ****ed up a few times and I'm too lazy to record it again, especially with a sling holding my left arm :(

haha yeah, I haven't even started to learn this solo yet. I also saw you comment on youtube lol. My gear isn't that much better and my amp really sucks lol.

Love this song , not so sure about your cover though.

out of curiosity, what didn't you like?

lawlz

I was confused till I looked at the other thread

It's not that i didn't like it , i just wasn't sure how much of it was the song and how much of it was you . you should try doing it without the song overlay.

then it sounds a lot worse lol

if you listen to the original song a bit you should be able to tell pretty easily what's me in the audio

Yea, usually it sounds alot worse with no backing. Drums/bass/singing really does add to guitar - ALOT. Obviously there are some exceptions, but mostly those things make it better.

Yeah i guess it really wouldn't work with this song. Don't mind me , i don't know the first thing about music :) .

Oh, har har! May apologies, my good chap! I didn't know about your inadequacies in the field of musical study!

...

GTFO.

You're certainly a very capable guitarist, Hazar, a million times better than me. You haven't played any music I particularly like as of yet, but I will keep a look on any updates in this thread.

I did a cover of It's a Long Way to the Top but my recording gear ****ed up and it was way to loud and it was just pretty much shitty globbering mess of static, and I can't figure it out, I need an interface... It's cool too I figured out the bagpipes on guitar so I play that too.

Anyways, your cover was sick.

Were you trying to record your amp from a microphone? I just go directly from my pedal into my computer which works pretty well.

I find it very annoying when bands aren't tuned properly for an album. TNT is like this as well as Ride the Lightning, they're somewhere between standard tuning and tune down half step which makes it sound bad when you try to play along with it.

Yea but you got that RP350 with the USB thing, I've got nothing, I need to buy a mic for my amp when I get some money, plus with my newer amp it has no headphone jack so I can't even do it my half assed way either, of plugging from the headphone jack into the mic port on my PC.

yeah, mics can be pricey for good ones which makes it hard to justify getting when you're only going to use it a little bit.

you're welcome to come down here to record! however, that would probably be more expensive than a mic for you lol.
