my friend got banned for nothing

today, my friend has got a terrible mood.
he said, he got banned from CS:S servers, because of cheating.
he is quite good at it, he logged onto the server, played the game, ggave few headshots, and then someone blamed him for cheating (which was not true).
admins banned him from CSS servers and he says that he has to buy a game again cus he cant play it online.
is there any another solution for him than buying a game again?
 
Play different servers or email the server admins and ask them wtf? Most decent admins require some sort of proof of cheating before a ban so appealing to a super-admin or some such should help.

Then again he might have been cheating in which case he will one day be VAC banned and then he will be forced to rebuy the game.
 
I get banned from servers all the time. Just join a different one.
 
If he's VAC banned he cheated. If he's banned from a server, he should stop whining a join another one.
 
are you absolutely sure that it makes him buy it again? because there is a bug where some of the games will say preload complete and it tells you to buy the game.
 
yeah if he's VAC banned, that's a pretty sure fire way he, or someone on his account cheated.
 
I remember playing with one guy who was... like awesome. But I knew he didn't hax0r.. cause I killed him a few times. I headshot all the time.. I love it when I headshot with my fiveseven.. ah... pistols FTW.

If he has to get a new copy of the game, he was VAC banned, which has nothing to do with any particular server or admin, and means he WAS cheating.

Solution? Play the game like anyone else, and don't hack. You do, you get ****ed, you deserve to get ****ed.

You're friend is playing the wrong servers (or cheating). I've never seen anyone get banned for doing too good. Then again, everyone kinda knows everyone.

Usually new kids will come in and accuse people, but the experienced people can tell.

If you're friend really is any good, have him come to BigTim3Gaming and give us a shot.

You're suggesting a VAC-ban is too harsh of a penalty for cheating? That's like saying it's unfair you were arrested when caught robbing a bank.

Cheating is baaad, mmm'kay.

Well, I didn't read the thread that thouroghly as I probably should have, but I was rather refering to misunderstandments and people not wanting to settle it in any other way than just giving out the punishment without the accused having a chance to defend himself or anything.

I dont know, if I should trust him, but he swears he wouldnt cheat.

is it possible to be VAC banned, just because someone thinks he cheated?
I mean, couldnt they make a mistake?
 
VAC is an automated system that checks data for cheats, hacks and other weird stuff. You can't get VAC banned without cheating. Your friend is a liar and a fcuker for cheating.

playing cs since it was released means nothing. Some people cheat in leagues who have been playing years. They cheat just because it makes it easier to win.
Also if your friend doesn't know that you can't be banned from VAC by people sending in demos, then he can't be all that good.

Yes, on servers that are not VAC secured (small percent of total servers), but you'll likely encounter cheaters there because they play on non secured servers.
 
I have mine on green and smallest, And I get headshots.
 
Just buy yourself a fresh copy off CSS or the HL2 package that includes it. Not worth buying someones VAC banned account imo
 
For some reason, CS:S is on teh frits. IT wont work for me. Always crashes at 'PArsing Client Info'

it works for me, on highest everything :D

but i had to uninstall it after two days of playing, got some problems with hard drive :(
