So here's the problem:
I got the Steam update automatically downloaded a couple days ago. I logged off for a bit then logged back on later, and tried to play HL2DM. As usual, I double-clicked the game in the list and it gave me the "Preparing to launch Half-Life 2: Deathmatch..." window. The window disappeared after a couple minutes as usual and I wait for the game to initiate. Nothing happens. I wait a couple more minutes. Nothing. I try double-clicking the game again and nothing happens. I try initializing it from the icon on my Start Menu and it doesn't work. I try all my games and nothing is working. The only Steam-related program that still runs are my two Half-Life 2: Episode Two trailers.

Edit: Oh yeah, and all the other functions of Steam itself are working. It's only my games.
