My GF has a better PC than me!

My gf's mom just got them a Dell, and its better than my pc. Exept that its huge (the tower) and I have a Shuttle.

Here's its specs..........


Monitor: Her....17" flat screen LCD / Me...19" TrueFlat CTR
CD Stuff: Her.....CD-WR...DVD-WR..Floppy / Me...CD-WR
The Guts: Her Pentium 4 3.0GHz, almost 3.0 GHz, 2 GB of Ram
/ ME P4 2.53GHz, 2.54 GHz, 1 GB of ram

Drives: Her....Just C: not sure how much hard drive space / Me..Two 120 GB hard drives

Video Card Her....ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB / Me....GeForce4 Ti 4200

Sound: Her: Sound Blaster Card...L&R Front, L&R Rear, Sub-woofer / Me....what ever sound capability my pc came with......and my old sterio that I hooked up to the PC..L&R Front, L&R Rear (dont work)

Other stuff: Her....wireless mouse& keyboard, Printer thats also fax & scanner /
Me...wireless mouse, reg keyboard, Epson Stylus Photo 960 Printer


I have been beaten ( not compleatly though, my monitor is way better, i've got more HD space, and my PC isnt the size of a city block)

thats exactly what i was just thinking. who the hell buys something like that for average use. must have been one hell of a salesman. also, being a dell, im sure it must have cost a bomb. [isnt that the pc they were playing hl2 on, that they unveiled on 9.30]

I'm pretty sure it was.

Maybe the sales conversation went something like this:

GF: Well, I just want a computer for checking e-mail and making word documents.
Salesman: Well, this new Radeon9800XT 256MB will give you the fastest e-mail checking speeds in town!!!

Customer: Yes, I would like a normal, family usable computer.. Maybe for checking email and such.. I am willing to spend $3000 dollars..

Dell Dude: Ooh, yes.. That $3000 dollars can build you a great family computer.. Upgrade and give us $1000 dollars more and we'll make it a gaming computer!

Her mom got it a little more for my gf's brother. But he's a dumbass.

Her mom asked him, "you want a new computer, or a car?" he wants a computer..........And he isn't like us, he bearly uses the internet, or the pc. But he thinks he really has to for some reason. I think its good for them because 1) they realy needed a new pc, their other one was shit. 2) when you buy everything super freakn' good, you wont have to upgrade for a long time (hopefully)

I am gonna make my gf become a gammer though. Pretty soon they're gonna get DSL so I can get my gf into computers and whatnot.

@ yea I wouldn't trust Dell customer service, but they are somewhat cheap...cheaper than that overpriced shit that comes from Alienware.

My gf isnt really stepping on my manhood............................But she does other things to it :naughty:



I think its great because it means she can finaly like technology.

Her last pc kind of turned her off from the internet and stuff like that.
