my graphics card

At the moment i have a GeForce 3 Ti, i know that Half Life 2 wont work well with that, ive looked around shops, but im not sure which to get:

1.first of all an ATI or NVidia card?
2.what model of card?

Please help me!

Get an ATI card for sure. Valve says they run HL2 better then any nividia card.

If your poor get an radeon 9600pro/xt, if your not rich or poor get an 9800pro, if you got more cash then you can spend then get the new radeon x800pr0/xt

all will run hl2 with acceptable framerates with DX9 on,

It would be wise to wait til HL2 and the prices will drop online as well.
