My hardrive kinda... Died.

My Harddrive just kinda died....

I know this is hardware related, but I want all my favorite people to see!

I tried starting my computer to a S.M.A.R.T. command failed error. So I booted to the XP cd, and did the chkdsk /r then fixboot, nothing. So I'm going to go buy another harddrive from my father later today *80 gig for $60..* and go ahead and reinstall windows and the works. Gah... *sigh* Installing XP was impossible on my HD because of...the..guy I BOUGHT it from..and stuff, yeah...>_>

Anyway, I'm not going to be very..active I suppose..Sorry guy! Here's to hoping I have it back up in time for Sunday's BF2 game.

Can't you reformat your HD, and install a clean version of XP ?

editL S.M.A.R.T suks, decreases your HD performance, don't ever use it
