My microphone

My microphone works perfect on some servers, and doesn't work at all on other servers.

Any ideas?

My computer runs HL2 fine aside from this problem, but just in case, I'll list my specs.

P4 2.4 Ghz Presscott Processor

Windows 2000 Pro NT
512 MB DDR SD RAM
40 GB Maxtor HD
GeForce4 MX 440 Graphics Card
