So I've just come back from Stockholm in Sweeeeeeeeeden,

Down this street there was a room, no sign or anything, it had a shop front and an open door - but it had no name, which was pretty awesome.

Inside and in the window it was just packed with stuff, it was piles and piles of military and random things. Only 1 person could get inside, you had to shuffle sideways down the 1 isle past artillery shells and old guns, jackets and hats.

There was a guy behind this mound of stuff, you can't see unless you go right to the back, he has almost made a trench to sit in from all this stuff. It was amazing, as a lot of it was real equipment and clothing used during the 2nd World War. Including Soviet Overcoats (Which looked REALLY awesome, one of which was from a really high ranked officer).

And I made a purchase, an original soviet flag, made from a very heavy cloth and the Hammer & Sickle is like a dyed ink.

I could keep talking about this shop and if anyone knows much about Russian Ranks I have a very blurred image of the jacket this high-ranked officer had that was executed for war crimes during the war, if someone can identify it.

Apparently there were only around 10 people obtained this rank. (So the man in the corner said but I can't remember what! :() It has like 2 or 3 downwards arrows and a symbol above that. Leather overcoat.

Thanks. :D If you are off to Stockholm, the store is really worth a visit!

I was thinking I wanted to start collecting flags, but since you have that one now I feel like I might as well not.

Sexy, I love old military stuff. I went to an Army Surplus store in California, I was like a kid in a candy store.

I really should find a place like that around here. I love those kinds of places.

Hey ZT, what Surplus store was it? There's one near me. :p

There is one near my house, but it has American stuff

that Russian overcoat looks so badass. I'd like to see a better picture of it.

Hah, that looks awesome man! Chances are I'll never go to Sweden (even though I'd like to), but that looks like an awesome store!

There was an SS Helmet, there wasn't any other Nazi stuff that stood out though. :)

There was a Russian Space Helmet lol. Had the full head a neck piece. :|

If anyone could help me, I'm trying to translate (or know more about) what the text/markings are on the spine of my Soviet Flag, here's a picture, I had to enhance it in Photoshop as with the age it was slightly worn.

I've also found out the flag is the Jack of the Soviet Navy: http://flagspot.net/flags/su~j.html
