It's a 2001 Subaru Legacy Outback. I've grown tired of the standard design, and I want to modify it a bit. Do any of you have experience with modding? Do you know any website I could visit to get some good advice? I was thinking I want to tint the windows and maybe put a spoiler on it. Any suggestions as to modify it are welcome.

Don't bother modding it, you'll look like a prune.

It's a nice car, leave it be.

I was thinking tinted windows and that's it. Maybe a better speaker system as well, but that's a future project. I've been looking around and I can't seem to find any modded outbacks, so it might be better to leave it.

How long do you intend to keep this car?

If it's low mileage and you're gonna have it for a few years then the window tint and a good sound system would be good, if this is a car that's gonna be replaced any time soon don't bother.

In the UK, car modding has been done to death and the original idea of it turning heads dosn't really apply anymore you just think "there goes another chav" unless your car really is something special then there's no point making it showy.

Window tinting can be done in 2 ways, proffessionally tinted which is expensive or you can use a adhesive film which is hard to do and if you're not careful it'll look terrible.

I was thinking I would do it myself, but I have to do a lot of research on it. My initial findings tell me that it is a very difficult process that takes a lot of time and practice to master, and even then you can screw it up. I'll focus on that for now, and maybe do something in the future with modding.

I've never liked the looks of a Subaru.

yeah, I heard it adds +5 bonus to your strength and +3 to stamina. I'll mount it on my bumper and I'll be able to ram other cars without sustaining much damage.

Make sure you don't ask any stupid questions or they will send your thread right to the OT where hundreds of [hilarious] people will make fun of you.

Congrats on owning Subaru. I love them. :)

Don't put a spoiler on it. Please for the love of all that is holy. Tint it if you must, but no spoiler.

I've done my own tint, but it sucked and was difficult. My windows are also very curved which makes it harder. get it done pro. Won't be more than $300.

The two models I've owned are the XT6 and SVX. they are relatively unknown. Search them and tell me what you think of them as they depart from the Subaru standard a great deal.
