I dropped my Razr down the stairs and it split in half. So I called Cingular and they said they would not replace it for free and I would therefore have to buy another phone. So any suggestions on phones from Cingular? I don't think I want another Razr because of the under powered speaker.

lol....underpowered speakers what do you expect from a phone??? also razers are known for breaking like that.

Am I the only one who thinks that Razrs are fugly?

No.

Get a Nokia E61. I haven't got a clue how operators outside Finland work so. I just got mine. It rawks. It's sort of a blueberry phone, but more Nokia. Quad band, WLAN, 3G etc. The lot.

Wow... what a POS.

Split in half how exactly? Gifv detail. Ebay has loads of spare parts for phones, you may be able to repair it by removing its guts and buying a knackered Razr from Ebay, and combining the two.

dont' even bother buying another Razr. They suck. Plus they have a security flaw where people can access your txt messages and other personal stuff.

Wow, Razrz are UGLY AND POS. I have a friend who has just a cheap non-flip phone...he purposely throws it at people/drops/kicks/bites...it's been around for a year, and going strong. I'm amazed actually.

all the "fashion" emo kids here hav razr

not rare why it split in half that thing looks more fragile that paper

I personally think it'd be great if phones just called people. Maybe a flash game or two. But built in MP3 players are just crazy. Plus... Razr... it sounds like a bad internet abbreviation.

EDIT: Hmmm... it'd also be pretty good if they took incoming calls. Though maybe if they just called other people it'd be funnier.

Yeah, last time I dropped a piece of paper, it was NOT pretty.

I barely use my cellphone
I use most as a numbers agenda cuz I never hav service

Razers used to be good until they hit mainsteam, then whoever makes them switched manufactureres (I hate that word) to some shitty chinese dump and now they break if you look at them.

Get one of those clamshell Nokia's. They're cool.

No, dun get one of those. i have one and the lcd screen cracked. now i have this huge blob in the middle.....

and about razors, way too many people own it. 15 of my friends have them....

I can totally see you sitting thar...

"yup, Tim's got one, Laura, David... Hmm, no, don't think David's got one... NO THAT'S RIGHT! David got one for christmas! *adds another checkmark* Fred, Taysha..."

It's the "COOL" thing nowadays.

But they've been out for a year and a half. They're not "cool" anymore. And frankly, they've always been shitty phones, but thin is in.

Personally, I'm going to get the new Blackberry that's coming out, but Cingular's not getting it. :p

Beh, I don't like small/thin phones. I have problems holding them on my cheek/shoulder...

I have a grey LG something or other clamshell about for about $100 (free with phone plan). All it does it make phone calls, text messege, alarm clock and play black jack. Monochrome screen. It's been through the washing machine twice and still works fine except for the CLR key is broken.

Well thanks everyone for your input.. I went to cingular and got a LG CG225.
So far I like it a lot better than my old razr. Also Parrot of Doom the keypad came separated from the top.

Nope, always bad (at least here).

I say good riddance. Get a sturdier phone for the next time a phone of yours wants to have a slinky experience.

few friends of mine used to hav some grey phone I think it was called jupiter or something, and they say its the most resistent phone ever
