to make it stop tiling add the style declaration "background-repeat: no-repeat;" to the BODY tag. If you want to move it around on the background, use "background-position: x y;" where x is top, center, or bottom and y is left, center, or right.

add it to the CSS info there (I would recommend an external stylesheet rather than what you're doing though, but it doesnt make a difference for a very simple site like yours) so it should be added between any of the declarations there like bg color or url. Also you include things that are unnecessary (direction: ltr; this is default) or plain weird (rgb(0,0,0) is silly when you could simply type "black" or #000000).

We just did style sheets for our last assignment, I wasn't paying much attention on it but I still got like a B. I'll add the code later today, thanks alot =)

Wonderful, first it wouldn't accept my card details to buy 64 lightsabers and 8 crowbars, then when I tried to leave a message in the guestbook it "Failed to connect to a table". Just so you're not missing out, here's the poem I would've left if I could:

I once knew a woman called Gilly,
The problem with her was quite silly.
At the first sniff of cheese,
She'd get on her knees,
And proclaim her love for willy.

That's really ugly. Everything clashes horribly.
 
The image is now obscured by your search boxes, and you've stretched it quite noticeably.
 
Should I move the search boxes down a bit so that they're not covering his face?

Edit: Moving the boxes made it seem a wee bit better than before
 
I'd say move the title above the picture and the search field and text below the picture.
