Gamespot just announced that Myst V: End of Ages has been released. And unsurprisingly, Cyan Studios "gutted it's operation and closed down it's game development unit". Here's the link for further reading.

In truth, not ALL of Cyan has closed, but the majority of the employess have been let go. Here's to hope that Cyan will surpass the legacy of Myst and make another revolutionary title like Myst. I'm thinking of getting the special edition to get the "series retrospective" or whatever. I'm a big fan of Myst and would like to see what the developers have to say about the closing of the series.
