NAT Problems

Thought I'd list this here because it's still a technical issue.

I have GTA 4 for PC, have a very hard time getting into Multiplayer games because it says my NAT is to strict, and that I need to open it?

I have a wireless netgear adapter for this computer, and it links with a netgear router on our old crappy family computer.

So basically I am trying to figure out how to "Open up" my NAT.
Keep in mind I've never had this problem with any other MP game, and it's difficult for me to find answers via google.

Anyone guide me where to look? Can't find the setting anywhere.

You will have to figure out which ports need to be opened for GTA 4 (a quick google search didn't return anything for me) and then go in to your router's configuration and forward those ports to the IP address of your computer. A simple but not secure way to get around not knowing the ports is to place your computer in to the router's DMZ.

also see if you can turn on upnp this way as well. Not sure how to find out the games ports though, must be some forum or FAQ to find this info.
