natural selection technical help needed !!!

okay well ive done all this steam crap and downloaded natural selection v3.0 beta 4 but when ever i start a game using steam or any thing else it comes up with - "your .dll [cl_dlls\client.dll] differs from the servers is there somr thing i need to download and if there is can some one tell me what or put a link :cheers: cheers for any help

Sounds like your version of NS is out-of-date.

I had the same problem, and I had all the patches. Reinstalling worked.

well the first load of advive worked but now when i join a server i get a annoying popup thing forgot what there called here i will post a screenie

That's a problem with Steam, caused by your computer. Try reinstalling.

Remember it's more than 1 d/l for NS...

1. 3.0 beta 1 client (159 megs)
2. 3.0 beta 4 (requires beta 1 client, 36 megs)
3. 3.0 beta 4a (requires beta 4 client, 5.4 megs)

As for Steam, use the 600Kb client to install it, and UNINSTALL your old version of HL. Steam auto-downloads HL itself. This should cause less problems...

You could've gotten it from http://www.natural-selection.org, but it looks like their site's down for a few days or more.

Try http://www.jarhedz.com instead.

Im having same probs i installed the NS full v3.1 thing on the NS website and it still doesnt WTF. i dont know where 2 get those 2 files i dont know where to look in the jar thing. and the NS website only has 1 . which is v3.1
