Naturally occurring knee-high mist?

You know how in THE FILMS there is often an eery knee high mist floating about?

Has anyone seen this happening in rl?

Last Christmas when I was coming home from uni on the train it was quite foggy. When the train started to go over an embankment we were higher than the land and you could see a shallow blanket of mist over the grass.

That was one of my favourite train journeys - in the quiet coach with no-one next to me, going home to see family and interesting scenery. It was so serene. [/gay]

For clarity, Radiation fog is not radioactive.

Yeah, I seen it with my own eyes.

Yeah, it happens in the meadows during the summer nights here all the time. It's quite creepy with the light and all.

I live in the country, I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, but I see knee-high fog almost every morning, around 6AM.

When it's really bad you can't see 10ft in front of you, it's so cool.
