Neck pain while singing

Am I the only one who experiences this? I was singing a song I really enjoy in church today but almost had to quit because my neck hurt so much (it hurt around the base of my head and down and around my backbone)

Then my arm started twitching...whatever.
Anyone else experience this? Exercises I can do or something? I enjoy singing though I suck at it, but yeah....any advice?

I rarely literally laugh out loud, but this post did it for me

you could have nodules on your vocal chord. they can really screw up your ability to sing if left unchecked, go and see a doctor.

But why would it make the back of my neck hurt if the issue is in my vocal chords?

Id goto the doctor if it hurts, then something is definately wrong.
