This game is coming for the Xbox 360 and PC

A new game using painkiller engine.

A horror-themed FPS for the PC and Xbox 360 by upstart Polish developer Farm 51. The game is said to be using a "highly advanced" version of the technology used in Painkiller.

It sounds like a Wolfenstien type game, except set in WWI, instead of WWII. I like the setting.

I own the game Painkiller, so I can say the engine is VERY customizable, so that you can set it up to run great on just about any machine. I had the game looking great and running REALLY well even on my crappy PC.


Hopefully, this is a huge step away from the game Painkiller. I didn't care for that game.


Going by what painkiller had, there should be lots of cool weapons, lots of run around and shoot things and no strategic teamwork. You just kick ass. I love those kind of games, although painkiller was really freakin shallow.

Looks nice, but another fairly linear run-and-gun Painkiller-type experience is just too monotonous for me. Still, its very pretty .

If it's anything like Painkiller, it should be VERY fast paced. When you walk, it's like you are running. It should be a one man against the world slaughter house.

It looks almost almost like a super pretty older type of game.. if that makes any sense...

As much as I didn't really dig Painkiller, it did get good reviews and some awards, and it did have many good qualities, so I hope they have improved 'the fun'.

I really love the WWI setting. I think this could be a great game.

Last night I came across a link to the game while over on Firingsquad. So I clicked on it & then proceeded to watch the game trailer. The game looked like a blast. A WW1 shooter with Demons. What could possibly go wrong? Well first off, I saw that the game was affiliated with 1C, which for me, raised a red flag. Well willing to give them yet another benefit of a doubt, I downloaded & played the 980mb NecroVisioN demo last night. I managed to last for around 30 mins before I had to exit & uninstall.

The demo was horrible. Painfully poor voice acting & one liners, coupled with IMO, boring & buggy game play matched to very dated graphics really killed any enjoyment I may have had. I'm aware that a demo should not be used to judge a game, but come on. A demo should give you a fair indication of what to expect & the demo for NecroVisioN screamed at me to leave it alone.

Anyone else here play the demo & enjoy it?
