Hello, i have dual monitors so i can easily work on maps and other stuff in hammer, but i want a program which i can lock one screen, so my main monitor acts as if there was only one, so my mouse doens't span across, so the mouse stops at the edge of the screen, but i still want to be able to see the other monitor. And with a combo or something i can renable the other monitor so i can ajust or move something.

I have been searching on google. for a while, and i found this - http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/download.asp but i haven't downloaded it yet (its 2.5 meg, and i have dial up, it wouldn't take long but i dont want to waste my time, i will probly download it as i wait for replys), but as i read about it i dont think it can do what i want..

any one know of a program that can help me?

i currently am using the Nview.....
Edit: i have only 1 card, with 2 DVI outs.....(6600 gt)

I don't know of any program that will limit your mouse movement to screen 1 or 2 yet still have both monitors plugged into the same machine. And just how would you jump over and control the other side?

I know Nview had something that you could setup for workspace with different programs or windows (like a grid pattern). But nothing that limited where you could move your mouse...

I'm telling you, Ultramon is to dual monitors what the taskbar is to Windows.

Nice! So how does that lock work exactly?

I should dl it again... I don't think I'd really use the extra features, at least I didn't before.

Well in the options menu it has hotkeys, and i binded a key to disable/enable the second montor, which i use for when i play CSS, other wise it messes up. And also when i am using the other monitor i binded CTRL + Q, to lock my mouse to the primary monitor : p, it helps alot, exspecually when you hate it when you try to close a program on the primay, and the mouse goes to the secondary : p
