My current DVD RW+ drive (Philips) will not let me play half life 2 - I understand I need some firmware for it which is not yet available.
But I have convinced the people at Dell to replace this with an NEC ND3100A drive which is arriving on thursday
What I need to know is if anyone has had simalar problems on NEC drives or if the game loads fine.
I am also considering buyng just a standard DVD Drive - either a sony or a samsung - same question - does anyone know if this will or will not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I've been trying to play this game since Saturday!
