need advise with G-cards

hey guys i have a doubt, i'm thinking about buying a graphics card but i don't know much about those things so i thougt you could help me, heres the question which one of these two would run Half life 2 smoother? nvidia 5200 or ati 9250? thats all i can pay for, so please don't tell me to buy a better one :dozey: , and my sistem specs are these in case you need them pentiun 4 celeron 2.53 Ghz 376mb ram, i think that would be all

i have the card that came with the comp its a intel extreme graphics2, but the game runs just fine the only problem is that the water and the glasses looks horribly bad, infact it runs better than i expected

EDITED TO NOT MAKE A NEW POST: cool guys thanks for your help, but as i don't have enough money to buy a new comp right :x now i'm only gonna get the ram and the vid card

I say don't upgrade at all, wait until you can buy another complete system. If the game runs fine with that chip then don't bother wasting $ on another not very good vid card. The FX 5200 serie is not a gamer's vid card.

If you were to upgrade, the gfx card (FX 5200) would be your best choice.

But getting a system geared toward gaming would be best. No Celeron, No onboard gfx, more than 386mb memory etc.

I have a 9250 and it runs hl2 pretty well
(Cept i also have a gig of ram)
