Need answer ASAP: Should I buy this psu?

I'm planning on getting a new videocard and if I can really get a psu that cheap that can run an x1800xt I just may be able to get one. But I need to know if this is too good to be true, I've checked with newegg and the two products look exactly the same, have the same rail amps and everything, but newegg is selling them for $70. I will jump on this deal for something so cheap but can anyone see if there is a catch to this? I've tried and I can't but I don't wanna get my hopes up.

Antec is a great brand. Go for it I guess. Do you need a power supply?

Antec are a very good brand.. I had a 300W one once that served me very very well until my current power supply

i would not get that one at all. the amperage on the 12v rail; so it would not run a x1800xt or your would end up with random crashes. i bought a rosewill 450w psu for around $30 at newegg. something like this would do you good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817182015

I looked up that specific model and the only bad thing i saw was in a review they said it had a lot of noise on the lines. It doesn't say that is the version 2.0 Truepower PSU. I would think the 22Amps on the +12V rail would be fine. They generally say to get more than that but only to make room for gfx card, extra harddrives etc. For that price, I'd grab it. If you want something better you obviously will have to pay more for it.

I think in the description it does call it the Truepower 2.0. Also it is listed as having only 18A on the 12v rail, which isn't much better than the 17A on the one I have now. But when looking up the same model on newegg, it was listed as having dual 12v rails each listed at 18A which would be perfect to power an x1800xt. So I'm hoping that the one I linked does actually have dual 12v rails but I'm not sure how I can tell for certain.

Yeah I didn't see the TruePower 2.0 text. And i was going by reviews for the amps on the rail. 18Amps is low for a 480watt PSU unless it has 2 +12V rails. Though it looks a lot like this. Specs. Probably the same thing you saw on Newegg.
Wonder if there is a way to get an exact model number from them (overstock.com) on that product.

Well I'm gonna assume that it is the dual 12v rails and I think I might buy it. My predicament was that I have a strict budget and the X1800XT was just within reach, but my psu wouldn't be able to run it. If I could get a psu this cheap I might be able to get the XT instead of the GTO. I think I might get the open box one at newegg for $200, is open box a bad idea? I've searched around and heard mixed opinions, I suppose it's kind of a tossup.

Does it have the full warranty?
If newegg tested it and it works I wouldn't be that worried. But can open box items be returned?

I think it does have whatever manufacturer warranty came with it. It says that open box products are tested by the original manufacturer. They guarantee open box products for 15 days, so I guess I could return it if it was DOA. The other thing is that open box products don't usually come with any accessories at all, including any cables. This wouldn't be a problem as I could use the cables that came with my 9800 pro, except for the PCI-E power cable which isn't always included with the psu. I could buy it form ati.com for $13 or somehow see if the psu I might buy comes with it.
