I have a Sapphire 9800 Pro and it runs without a hitch at stock settings. If I overclock it even 15mhz, it gets artifacts in DOOM3.

I want to flash it to a XT, so I want better cooling. And even if I decide not to, at least it will have better cooling.

What should I buy (from Newegg)? There's too many I dunno which one would be the best.

Get the arctic cooler and some Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound. They make a mean cooling combination

I would of brought one of those if my current Stock heatsink didnt cool the memory, but as it does and the artic doesnt theres no point for me :(

Well, I can't flash it (R350 core)...but I can still OC it :D I get max 387 (378 default) chipset and 338 (338 default) mem.

the artic cooling is what you want ...read tyhe reviews in the link I gave you ...a lot of people have used the artic fan to flash their 9800 pro's to XT speeds ...it works and it's cheap

replacement for what? mmmm not following you

Replacement for the fan already on board. I not going anywhere overclocking. Artifacts just keep appearing left and right.

Get the VGA Silencer at Newegg:

It's cheaper here, and it's far better than anything else you can buy as a Vid Card cooler. Also, invest in a PCI Slot fan if you have a spare PCI slot:

You won't find a better deal.

The VGA Silencer is a fan replacement, and it's the best out there.

pci slot fan to very little. They can, more oftne than not, interfeare with the way the fan on the cars draws air in.

You ok mate? Don't tell me you've been drinking again! ;)

if the fan on the GPU suck in and the pci card blows towards it then it makes it more effective. but if GPU suck and pci card suck then youve got problems, and vice versa.
