Need Desperate Help.....anyone....!!!!!!!

Hey everybody that reads this. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I need it really bad. HALF-LIFE 2 is really starting to piss me off, not to offend it. Anyways, I've been having so much trouble with it. Let me start. After I installed and started playing, the game keeps freezing up. I have far more than the minimum requirements for the game. I also went and changed my video card settings from Direct 3d to OpenGL and at the best performance and no quality. It still freezes. The computer I have is brand new too. Its a HP Pavilion zd8000. I also changed the video size in the game to all sizes and it still freezes. Does anyone know of any problems. I even tried re-installing. Please HELP!

Hmm... Do you have a nVidia card? (Check it by doing Start - Execute - Dxdiag - Third tab from the left - Upper left corner and look if there's 'nVidia' somewhere). Because nVidia just released an update.

Although it sounds that either your RAM or your game is corrupted.
Therefore, validate.
