Greetings all,
This question is for those of you that know how to I believe 3D model. In Geck, I want to add a scope to a weapon. I have the scope part working, by this I mean, that when I zoom in, I get the scope view itself, but not the graphical representation of the scope sitting on top of the weapon. The weapon ingame does not normally come with a scope, but as part of a mod i'm working on, i'd like to know how to actually place the scope onto the weapon. I have tried reverse engineering a few different mods that have added scopes to weapons, but when I view the DDS file, it just shows me a flat picture of the textures & the .nif file just pertained to the scope view itself. The .nif file is what I had to extract from the BSA to enable me to get the scope working by adding it's extention to the mod itself. At least thats what i'm getting from it. However, since I am brand new to this, I have no doubt that i'm missing a big step somewhere.
I don't have Photoshop & the newest version of GIMP seems to be rather lite features wise when it comes to dealiing with .DDS files, if thats even what I want to be working with, but since the mods I tried to reverse engineer had only NIF & DDS...
Thanks in advance.
