In Portal, on this particular part, I tried shooting portal's to direct the orb to the orb grabber thing but every time I try the shields eat up the portals.

direct the orb towards the alcove with the generator, quickly move behind the shields and redirect it into the generator itself.

Think, and act faster.

It seems impossible because everytime I touch the force field, the portals vanish instantly. I tried working much quicker, but it's impossible!

The impossible is easy! Think with more than a pair of portals.
