need help asap! Half life 2 has an error!

I have a big problem. So i bought half life2 at eb games for 40 bucks,
and it comes with cs:s and half life1, and half life 2 of course. So
ive installed it before, but then one day i did a system recovery on my
whole computer so everythin was deleted. When i got everything to work
again, i decided to install half life 2 again. But this time, when
installing the game it says" Please verify that the file exists and
that it is accesible." So i check in the valve/steam/steamapps, and the
file they r askin for is there. So it does exist and its accesible but
my game wont install, it just keeps on sayin the same thing!! Can
someone help me as soon as possible? by the way, my half life 2 game is
fully legal, so there is nothin wrong wit the game (i hope). Please
help me, if anyone has had this problem beofre, please tell me wat u
did to fix it! Thanx!

Btw, the steam for hl2 works, but only the games dont work when tryin to install it. THis is wat it exactly says:error 1305. Error reading from file C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam.Steamapps/counter-strike source shared.gcf. Verify that teh file exists and that you can access it.

Try verifying your GCF. That's what it means.

Right click your steam icon in the systray (bottom right, in the taskbar) and goto Games. Goto "My Games" tab. Right click on the game you need to verify. Then 'Properties'

Goto the Local Content tab, then press the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button..

It should then pop up with a box and you can see the progress of the verification. It might take several minutes, so be patient...
