Something's really gone weird on my computer.

After uninstalling NortonAV 2005, and installing AVG free edition, everything's gone kabibble. AVG has somehow detected viruses in every freakin program I have on my computer and has decided not to let them run anymore. AVG is unable to uninstall because of:

Local machine: installation failed
Initialization:
Error: Checking of state of the item file winword.exe failed.
File opening failed. %FILE% = "C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\winword.exe"

And system restore doesn't work, the window opens but stays blank. http://img49.exs.cx/img49/3698/sysr.jpg

Contacting them isn't allowed unless I have something other than the free edition (poo..).

I've just reinstalled windows... Now system restore works, but it can only restore back to a certain system checkpoint, which was AFTER my install of AVG.

Argh. I don't wanna reformat.
