Need help. Brush dissapears.

Hi. new mapper.

I have a func_breakable mapped with a fence texture. problem is, it fades if you get too far away from it.
I don't see any flags or fade distance properties... is there any way to get them to stay visible?

Sry if this has been asked before. I searched and didn't find anything.
 
Is it only with this particular brush ?

Try upping your graphics (if possible) ?

Try using a prop_static, with one of the premade fence models ?
 
it's a whole bunch of identical brushes. I want to use it as a breakable barrier in a cs:s map, in the same fashion as a vent cover, etc. since it blocks view at a distance, it would be rather unfair to be invisible at a distance (same for graphics settings. It would have to be enforced as always visible, or whatever).

I haven't looked at fence models much, but I don't think they'd fit in well.

Is the fade distance built into the material file? Can you change the material to change the features? Maybe I should just use a different texture??
 
Hmm, well, I'm not really a master at things like this, but from what I've been hearing about textures lately, I wouldnt be surprised. Try a different texture, and maybe try making it a nodraw brush with the fence only on one side ?

Or on both sides. 1 or 2 sides fence, the rest nodraw :). You get what I mean
