Need help getting passed a half-life 2 level.

How do I get passed this level displayed on this screenshot? This is "water hazard" the part where the helicopter chases you down while you run through the water? What do I do? I obviously can't go through those pipes because of the green hazardous liquid right?

Your screenshot doesn't show up, but yes, you can go through the hazardous liquid as long as you're in the boat. It's only hazardous if you get in it yourself.

There are moments in the chapter when you need to go *on* the pipes, not through them, but I'll assume you're at the part where you need to go through those.

Wrong. And where IS your airboat?

Yeah... don't leave the airboat behind . For some reason many players seem to do so.

You'll want to get out of it temporarily several times during the chapter, but don't leave it, you need it all along.

type in console ch_createairboat or someting like that and you'll get an airboat.

i think I'v seen another post like this before... I think im gonna try doing that whole part with out the air boat... im not sure its possible to destory the helicopter with out the airboat gun but with cheats i might be able to destroy it with the rpg, but iv'e ever tried so i dont know.

I wonder how it feels to be one of the handful of people on the planet too stupid to realise that the airboat is given to you for a REASON. Everyone else that played the game worked it out (although it's not like it was a puzzle or anything) - you're in a place that has highly toxic areas, the whole area is HUGE and wide, and you are given a fast moving vehicle that is not affected by the toxic waste - yet there are a few who just couldn't connect the dots, and just left the thing behind. Absolutely amazing.

The chopper fight can be bypassed using exploits, as seen in at least one speedrun vid. Personally, I prefer just to shoot it down with the airboat gun.
