Need Help Importing Models into 3dsMax

Right. This may sound stupid, but I recently upgraded my 3dsmax from 7 to 08.

The plugin that worked for 3dsmax 7 didn't work for 3dsmax 2008. And now I can't import a SMD file.

Any suggestions?
(or if anyone is so kind, I need a headcrab model in .max format)
