Need help! Keyboard bs

Well i just got my new computer but theres a problem. I can boot up fine but then i have to put in a Microsoft Xp code (numbers and letters) to continue but certain numbers dont work. Like 0, 1, and 5 +some other letters. So i cant continue through the setup until; this is fixed....

Ive checked the keyboard plug dozens of times so its not the connection because SOME keys DO work. Also i tried using the computer im typing on now by pluging it into my new computer and same problem. Not even the keypad works.

PLease help me i wanna get my new computer up and running... ;(

I just put in the new computers keyboard with my computer im on now and it works fine so wtf is up with this?? is it microsoft xp setup screwy?

When booting up should i go into setup and look for something in particular??

I think it was just a bad keyboard..

Ok nvm guys i got it, it seems only certain numbers are meant to work and other arent....

Im on my newcomputer now!
