Ok, I got a Radeon 9550 video card, running on a amd 64bit 3000+
2.01GHz computer, 512DDR Ram
and everytime I play Half life 2 or even Gunz, it would completely lose signal, turn to black blank screen after 10-15mins of playing.

I checked to see if there were dust on my video card and checked if the fans were running, and all seems to be fine. Still can't figure out whats wrong.

I can play Counterstrike and Starcraft perfectly fine. But not half life 2 and Gunz.

Any idea why? Thanks.

Sounds like it might be overheating since only higher end games make things go wrong.
Have you overclocked anything?
Dose you card have a fan? If so is it working?

I don't know what overclocking means, and yea it has a fan and its working.

Well Starcraft is 2D and never really required a good computer(though still extremely fun)...and CS dosn't require a top of the line computer.

Yeah I would go with the drivers.

Check you gfx settings in your Windows display properties and also ingame. Generally a blank screen indicates incorret resolution/refreshrate or dx9 settings that it can't display or something along those lines with regard to the video card.

Do you have current drivers installed and DX9 installed?

Installed the latest driver already, i say last week? And got DX9.

What I meant by a blank screen is that it says No signal and it just floats around on a black screen.

I thought the card overheated. But the all the fans are working.

Could it be that theres something wrong with the card?
