Hi, i have a problem sending some large files over from this computer till my own computer. They are both hocked up on the same router, and mine is wireless. Anyway, i have always been able to send stuff through MSN using 2 accounts really quick, like 5 GB in just 5 minutes. However, today it wont work, it wont even send a few MB. So is there any other way i can send it?

There is also a shared folder on the LAN network, however, my computer doesnt have access to it idk why. So...any help?

no! Lol now no one will see this and i will never get an answer

:(

Make sure they are on a network and can see eachother. Make sure your firewalls are disabled, that could be the reason you can't access that folder.

it still doenst work. It doesnt even show up on the other computer!

Do you have file and print sharing enabled on your computer? If so you should be able to either stick the file in the Shared Documents folder or make a new folder anywhere and share it (make sure the user EVERYONE has permission in the Security tab).

Then get on the other PC (the one you want to move the file to) and find the folder then drag the file across. If it doesn't come up right away you can always type the name of the computer in the address bar of the explorer window. Example: If the PC name is 'Computer' then type \\Computer in the address bar then hit enter.

I dont understand. This computer has a "shared folder" and my other computer has one too. But they are just sharing files between the Xp accounts, not with other computers. They look completely different with different files. They are just sharing stuff between the accounts, thats all.

make sure you have the drivers installed for the network card you have....that was my retard mistake when I tried setting up my gf's computer onto a network with mine...
