Need Help with "brave new world" technology essay

I need some that is creative and knows about technology.
Basicly i need some of your oppinions on weather thecnology in this society helps our lives.
And wether the technology in Brave New World helps their Utopian society.
And im trying to compare both of the societies technology and come out with some opinions people might have about this.

As for technology helping our lives... it does. But it also does the opposite. Atomic energy is probably the best example of this. Relying too much on technology can be a bad thing, though.

In the Book Huxly reffers to it as a Utopia.

The point of the society was about happiness, not control. So it was utopian.

As to your main question about technologies, you might wanna explore genetics and drugs. TV is in many ways an "opium of the people", in that it keeps people occupied with stuff that doesn't really matter, while modern gene technology, while improving our lives, may also contribute to other problems like overpopulation, etc.

I wouldn't say TV is necessarily, but more what it projects and the idealogoies we are exposed to and indoctrinated with.

Actually, both terms could be applied depending on the point of view. In the book it was envisioned as a utopian society where everyone was happy, but it was written with the intent of describing a dystopian society where everyone was "happy".

To it's citizens it's utopian, to the reader it's dystopian.
